The book starts innocently enough as a typical science fiction novel. About the time the actual mind-swapping happens, the tone changes and it reads more like a Douglas Adams book. Things get weirder and less sympathetic as the book progresses, descending all the way to animated corpses by the time you get to the end. It's as if the author got tired of people telling him his plots were predictible and set out to prove them wrong. Definitely not an author I would pick up again.
