this is just curiosity on my part. I am wondering if anybody has gotten a request from an a la carte member. I have gotten a few requests since the change in mid February and as far as I can tell none have come from an a la carte member. The overwhelming majority have come from standard members. A few have come from limited members. What sort of mileage are you getting?

Just researched my last 4 requests (over last 2 weeks)-- one from Standard, one from Limited, one from Ala Carte, and one without a profile.

I've received at least one or two. But you can't see account status if the profile isn't public so it's difficult to tell.

Of my last 5, 2 were standard and the other 3 had profiles that were not public.

Of the 12 books I've mailed in the past week or so:

6 - had no profile info so can't tell, except that one person had over 300 books on their shelf and 270 in their WL, so would guess they might be a standard member

3 - were Standard members

1 was a limited member

2 were definitely Ala Carte

Books coming to me:

1 - no profile

1 - Ala Carte

2 - Standard

OK stupid question, but how does one tell whether it's an a la carte member? I just checked my transaction archive and I can't tell. The same is true for the books I need to mail.

The only way is to click through and look at the person's profile.

Caviglia, your profile is set to private so we cannot anything.  Marya when I click on your profile I see the golden book symbol of the Standard member.

Caviglia, your profile is set to private so we cannot anything.

I didn't say to click through to MY account, but to whomever has ordered a book from you. If the account is set to private, you can't tell what their account status is (or anything else, which is the purpose of privacy).

That's right. Not trying to ruffle your feathers. Just trying to say if a person has their profile set to private you cannot tell their level of membership.

Also you cannot tell their membership if there's no profile.

You're welcome to your privacy. yes

But we know from Cav's posts that she is a Standard member.........so if a person posts in the forums you can see which they are: Standard or Limited (but obviously not Ala Carte since they can't post ).

15 books requested since 2/15.  Of these:

5 Standard        0 Limited       7 Ala Carte      3 No profile

May have been because a number of these were rarely posted craft books.  A  number of folks had no books posted, but large wish lists.
