If you are interested in the lives of wealthy, oppressed Arab women, this is an excellent book. It's very well written in full detail. I highly recommend it.

A cross between Jean Sasson's Princess novels and "Sleeping With the Enemy," I was drawn into this novel from the start. I could not put it down, nor could the other women I shared it with. This has been a selection of the Literary Guild, Reader's Digest Book Club, and the Doubleday Book Club -- all for good reason, in my opinion!

The story was good but it dragged on and on more then it needed to. It could have been cut by at least 100 pages and held my intrest more. Got a bit boring after awhile and I couldn't wait to finish. In fact I just threw it out when I finished it.
