A gift to all pregnant woman and new mothers. Reminds us of the need to nurture amd value ourselves. Anyone giving birth or getting health care should read this book.

This is a fascinating, frightening and important book. I'm going to recommend it to all of my female friends- many of them soon to be mothers. I'm also going to recommend they have their husbands read it- and I'm going to encourage mine to read it as well. This book covers many aspects of pregnancy and child-rearing that "post-feminists" don't hear nearly enough about- and it was an empowering and enlightening read.

I expected more. It was a gripe-fest.
