This is a wonderful book. The recipes alone are worth it but it also has many great tips and strategies for the thrifty mom. I emailed Jonni McCoy to thank her for her wonderful book and do you know she actually wrote me back. What a great lady!

I love this book! It is a very handy resource for money saving ideas and recipes. My favorite are the 'make your own' recipes...mixes, salad dressings, etc. I know I've saved money by making my own and I also have control over what goes in it, or what doesn't! Great ideas and tips for saving money and making the one-income family thing actually work.

I was under-impressed. If you are really serious about saving money I would recommend Tightwad Gazette over this one. Good information if you are going from work to home it will give you the inspiration to get started and it can be done. The more kids you have (she only has two) the more you need more serious ideas.

This a great book that discusses many methods of saving money in the home, besides just clipping coupons and wearing hand-me-downs. She discusses ways to create meal plans to save more money... methods of cutting back on utility bills, and more. I enjoyed this book and have made it a part of my permanent collection for now. :)

I really liked this book. She deals a lot with food and cooking which is a HUGE expense for most homes. I liked that about this book, it wasn't just use coupons and get junk at the cheapest store available. She has a real concern with eating nutritiously and even for special food needs like my family's! That's amazing for this type of book. It wasn't all food though, she talked of reasonable ways to cut costs with holidays, utilities, even activities and toys for kids. Really enjoyed this book.
