I enjoyed this book. I have read several books with hero and heroine battle the wits, but usually verbally; Reading this book was like watching a great chess game where spectator gets some glimpses into players mind and strategies. What an exciting battle of sexes and wills. It was such a fun read and yet, at the same time, one feels the tender, loving care among the main and secondary characters. Also the writing was smooth, language authentic, even the book cover was classy. It was all around an enjoyable read. Definitely a keeper for me!

This wisp of a girl, this maddening minx barely entered into womanhood, refused to heed Lord Alfred's firm command to leave his newly inherited estate of Beechstead. Moreover, this outrageous creature had the cheek to threaten Lord Alfred with disaster if he persisted in his pigheaded folly.
Lord Alfred vowed he would teach this girl what kind of man he was. Instead he found himself learning of what substance a young lady like Miss Letty was made...
