An interesting glimpse of dear MissS as a much younger person, and her steadfast courage even in the face of air raids, bombings and, as usual, murder.

This is a prequel to the stories of Miss Seton's post-retirement adventures. Here she has an adventure (while probably in her late 20s or early 30s) helping British Intelligence figure how who's causing sabotage in an aircraft manufacting plant during World War II.

Miss Seeton's sketches in WWII England lead authorities to suspect her allegiance, but after interviewing her, they enlist her support for the British cause and send her to help them uncover sabotage in an airplane factory. Great cozy mystery!

the best one in the series.

Although this book is something like the 10th book that was written, it is set in an earlier time period than all the others. THis is when Miss Seeton was fairly young. It is set in WWII.
