This was a fun book, bluestocking heroine doing research on kissing and sex, she even interviews the hero's mistress. Beneficial to read the two previous books, Major Wycliff's Campaign and especially Rules for a Lady, as you'll read more about previous characters in this book. Really enjoyed all three.

Miss caroline Woodley had climbed a tree to get away from Harry. Her friend Alvina had claimed a women should tingle when kised by her beloved, and sinsce Caroline and Harry were destined to wed, it seemed only right she should try a little test. But it had gone terribly wrong...wet. And so she punched him. Then she climbed the tree.
Geoffrey Rathburn had climbed the stairs to get away. It was true that he needad a match to get the family fortune back, but the dowagers and daughters downstairs were only after his title-just as he was only after their money. Then a young woman climbed in off a tree branch wanting something entirely different. Of course he was certain he could assist;he could make her tingle with a kiss--and do more with the rest of his body. The real question was if he could win her heart as she had his.

Greyle's writing reminds me a little of Georgette Heyer. She describes her characters as though they were standing in front of us; she also has a humorous way of getting her heroine into many, many scrapes. Loved the book and the plot ... a most enjoyable read.
