I am new here, so bear with me. :)

I posted a book that had a short wishlist (only 2 people), so now it is in the 48 hour wait for the first person to decide if they want to request it or not.  I realized this morning that the book originially came with a CD in the back that is no longer there.  (I bought the book used so I've never had the CD).  It looks like it is a song recorded by the author, but not anything that specifically goes along with the text.  So what do I do?  Do I PM the first person in line before they even request the book?  Should I wait for them to request it and then let them know of the condition?  Should I have never posted it?  Do I need to take it off my bookshelf?

Thanks for your help!

Are other versions of this book available? Perhaps they WL that particular book for the CD , but you would not know unless you asked them .  I learned from others to WL all versions of a book to increase my opportunities for a book.

oh that's a good question.  I just looked it up and there are 4 versions of the book, all of which have 2 people on the wishlist (maybe the same 2 people?).  I can't tell for sure, but my book is the oldest and I think the only one that came with the CD.

So obviously I need to PM the person to make sure it's ok.  Do I do that now before they request the book, or wait until they have actually clicked to request it?

The book should not have been posted, but since you did pm'ing them is the right thing to do.  They should order it and you should cancel it to keep thier place in wish list line.  You can put yourself on vacation hold to prevent it from rolling to the next person if they dont respond to the wish list offer.

It could be offered in the book bazaar as an unpostable for credit if you wish.
