I want to work my way through the "Modern Library Food" books.   I have read "The Supper of the Lamb" by Capon and "Katish: Our Russian Cook" by Frolov and enjoyed both of those but I am really struggling to make it through "High Bonnet" By Idwal Jones. It is such a short book I am determined to finish but would like to enjoy the next one a little more!    I was wondering if anyone has read any of the "Modern Library Books" and can recommend the next one for me to get.  Thanks is advance...

Some of the titles are:

"Life a la Henri" by Henri Charpentier

"Clementine in the Kitchen" by Samuel Chamberlain

"Perfection Salad" by Laura Shapiro

"Cooking with Pomiane" by Edouard de Pomiane
