The Mom Complex
Author: Darlene Schacht
The Mom Complex is a collection of stories that are written both to humor and to inspire the soul of mothers who are seeking daily devotion with God. It urges us to search inside ourselves, so that we may uncover the path that God has placed our feet on. It's on that path, where we often discover that His plan for our life is different than ours.

I saw this posted on a christian womens website and decided to read it. I would highly recommend this book to any mom. It is great. She shares how your plans may not always be what happens and just goes through her chaotic moments as a christian mom. Really enjoyed this book.

Darlene has an amazing ability to share laugh-out-loud humorous stories from her life in a way that makes you visualize the events with her. She then takes her stories a step further, relating them to something she learned about God and His love, or our relationship with Him and others, using a bible verse. The few reflective questions at the end of each story gave me something to consider throughout my day and gave me things to discuss with my husband.

So many times, books of this sort are written in a fashion that make the author appear to be perfect. Darlene did a wonderful job of maintaining her realism and being relatable. I recommend this book to all moms.
