This is, without a doubt, THE WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ IN MY LIFE. I'm some who averages about 60 books a year so I've read quite a bit over the years. Terrible, confusing, and a waste of time.

If you're looking for a suspenseful murder mystery with a lot of action, filled out characters and a solid plot, Moon Music is it. Just enough blood and guts to make it fun!

This book was strange, the characters had few, if any, redeeming values, and the end should be in fantasy literature! Although I kept reading to the end, I kept asking myself, "Why?" I think I will stick with Jonathan Kellerman in the future!

One of my favorite mystery writers. Her characters are always well fleshed out with incredible detail in an easy read package.

This is not a Decker/Lazarus novel but rather all different characters & set in Las Vegas. I liked it.

I'm a huge fan of both Faye and Jonathan Kellerman, so I was excited to read this book. I was a little skeptical that I would like it when I found out it wasn't a Decker/Lazarus series. But I loved the characters and the story line. I hope Rom, Remus and everyone else return in future novels.

Better than many of her books.

Very good book that you will find yourself lost in.

Not a Decker/Lazarus novel. The body of a showgirl is found in the Nevada desert. Seasoned police veteran Detective Sgt. Romulus Poe finds similarities in an unsolved slaying and so-called suicide from 25 years before.

This is NOT a Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus Novel as PBS has labeled it. The protagonist instead is Romulus Poe, a Las Vegas detective and a very strange character. The plot is quick and edgy and carries you along. But the end of the book plays with the paranormal, and is not as satisfying as the Decker/Lazarus novels. Still, it's a good read, just not Faye Kellerman's best.

In the bleak wasteland of the Nevada desert, not far from the sparkling 24-hour neon of the world famous Las Vegas Strip, the body of a once-beautiful showgirl is discovered, horribly mauled and mutilated. It is a horrendous crive, shocking in its brutality, excessive even for a city celebrated for its exces. Seasoned police veteran and Vegas native Detective Sergeant Romulus Poe has seen his fair share of depravity in thius mecca of glitz and vice. But there is something about this unfortunate young wo9man's death--and in a similar murder that is to follow soon after--that harkens back to an unsolved slaying and so-called suicide a quarter-century ago. The grim similarities, along with some frightening new possibilities, are leading Poe into a night world of dark shadows best left unilluminated . . .

Way too graphic! I love Faye Kellerman usually, but this was more in her husband's style...very, very graphic. The story seems good (I couldn't finish the book) and would've kept my interest otherwise.

This is the first of Faye Kellerman's books that I have read and I really enjoyed it, but it isn't one of her Peter Decker Rina Lazarus novels. This one is about Detective Sergeant Romulus Poe.

In the bleak wasteland of the Nevada desert, not far from the sparkling 24-hour neon of the world famous Las Vegas Strip, the body of a once-beautiful showgirl is discovered, horribly mauled and mutilated. It is a horrendous crime, shocking in it's brutality, excessive even for a city celebrated for its excess. Seasoned police veteran and Vegas native Detective Sergeant Romulus Poe has seen his fair share of depravity in this mecca of glitz and vice. But there is something about this ufortunate young woman's death---and a similar murder that is to follow soon after---that harkens back to an unsolved slaying and so-called suicide a quarter century ago. The grim similarities---along with some frightening new possibilites--are leading Poe into a night world of dark shadows best left unilluminated...and pulling the inquisitive policeman toward secrets from a strange and sordid past that could destroy those closest to him, and drag him over the edge.

The ending is not what you might expect!!

Excellent read! Plot takes place in Las Vegas with Detective Sergeant Romuolus Poe (and his brother and mother!). I loved this book because of the wild twist toward the middle of the book.

I did not care for this book either! Thank goodness Faye Kellerman became a better writer with her Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus Series !!!!!

This is not a Decker/Rina book but a stand alone mystery. I just could not get into it like I do her other books.

I ended up speed reading a portion of it cause it did not grab my interest.
