Very intruiging. I love Whitney's writing style. This was a wonderful story. Set in post WWII, it was interesting and quite frustrating to see how the women defined themselves by their husbands and their marriages.

When Marcia Talbot recieves the letter from her husband Jerome telling her that he wants a divorce, she acts quickly. She boardsa plane to japan, where Jerome has been working, confident that she can change his mind and bring him back home with her.
