Yep. Apparently this is true. CBS has already announced who will definitely be returning in the fall and Moonlight was not on the list. So the ratings for the new four shows are going to be real important. You don't need to be a Nielsen family to make a difference. I've read that the hits for Moonlight on the CBS website are important as is completing the linked feedback form...

Moonlight has some pretty die hard fans so I don't foresee this show not returning without a huge outcry from all the fans.

I have some Moonlight fans as friends on Myspace and this is what they are spreading via bulletins:

While The Price Is Right is running on Friday nights, the plan is to go to http://www.cbs.com and to all watch the same episode of Moonlight with the intention of sending CBS a message. We do know that they pay attention to what we're watching on CBS.com, so it should be obvious that we're not watching the available "current" programming. Yes, this may crash their streaming vid server, but they're still going to know which streaming vid made it all come crashing down.

Please spread this around to all the other Moonlight sites you can possibly think of during the next week. Let them know that this is a concerted effort and that we need to come together to make this all happen.

If they want to coordinate anything, let them know they can contact me at leeser@moonlightline.com. It's time to throw away any nastiness we may have toward any other Moonlight site, because we're all in this together.

I think they changed it to April 25th now - but that's good - because our new eppies will run during May sweeps!  That's a vote of confidence from CBS....

Sadly, I TiVo everything and I've heard that when youTiVo it does not help ratings.

Shannon - if you don't have a Nielsen box (or diary), it doesn't make a difference whether you watch it live or on TIVO.  Nielsen ratings don't count every household watching tv - just those asked to participate.  I've heard that if you want your viewership to count for something -- watch the show online on CBS.com.

Moonlight is currently #1 on this site and my understanding is that this site is tied into the Nielsen company.

I honestly don't think I have ever been stressed before about a show not being renewed. LOL! I already saw a little synopsis about what the first new show will be about. ;-)

Hello everyone!!

Dearest Friends, Family and devoted Fans.

Well I just thought i would put a blog out and touch base with everybody before this crazy show of mine goes back into production... which is happening any minute now!!
I have got to say that this show of ours is SUCH a little survivor, it's unbelievable! I mean, talk about delivering in the face of adversity...

* They completely recast the whole show around my character after the initial Pilot was shot (which never aired of course).
* We have gone through not 1..2....3............but 4 different Show Runners.
* We were fighting to survive, let alone get a pickup and the industry moved into a 3 month Writers Strike.

... and that is just the beginning of it.

With all that being said not only are we still on air with another pickup of 4-5 shows, but we won best new show in the People's Choice Awards!!
The award however, is only because of all you AWESOME fans out there. You guys take full credit for that one and know that from the bottom of our hearts, ALL of us here at MOONLIGHT (cast and crew) love you for it!!! ;)

I have been in touch with a number of you individually but i wanted to send out a group mail to let you all know what has been happening recently in the world of Alex.
I have been all over the planet in the last 2 months, Australia twice, London, Paris, Rome, Dublin and back through LA like three times where I now find myself, back at home gathering my thoughts and readying myself for the onslaught that is MOONLIGHT to come. Honestly... I cant wait!!
My travels have been as extensive as they have because i have been promoting the show for the world market. We have started airing in different regions of Europe with a lot still to come and already are being received very well. I saw how hard you all fought to keep this great story alive while i was here shooting it and realized that though i had some time away from the set and the cameras over this strike period and during the Christmas break, i had to keep working as hard as you guys have been so when the time does finally come for our second season pickup (and it's not too far away now!) we know we all did everything we could.
I am currently working on a refurbished MySpace page and official Alex O'Loughlin fan page which I look forward with great anticipation to delivering to you.

I am well. I am happy. I am focused and i am ready, once again, to pour everything i can back into this great little show of ours to make it the best i possibly can!!

What's the link to his myspace page? I can't wait for these shows to come back on again. It was hit and miss for me when they first came on because I used to work Friday nights so I got to watch a couple of them and then I watched a couple online too.  I don't work Friday nights anymore so I finally get to watch them - they'd better not take them off! It is such a good show. It's nice he's good-looking (better than good-looking) but the premise and acting are also very good. More people need to know that!

I'm excited too. I've read some spoilers already because I couldn't help myself. You are right though. Besides Alex being wonderful eye candy, it's a smartly done show with a little bit for everyone.

How cool is that?  I love that Alex is totally in tune with his fans and wants to keep us in the loop.  That's pretty rare.  What a guy!  *swoon*  LOL.

I don't have Tivo, but I do have a TV tuner in my PC and I record via my computer. Well, things happened and I didn't get to see any of the episodes until THIS WEEK!  I got sick and decided to have a Moonlight marathon.  OMG!  I'm in love with this show!!  Imagine my very, very strong frustration and disappointment to find that my PC stopped taping before the last 4 episodes were aired.  AAAARRRRGGGG. And, CBS.com doesn't keep the episodes on innertube, so I had to settle for the written synopsis instead.  So disappointing.

And, just remember, the fans saved Jericho so there's always hope.  I just wished it had worked for Journeyman too!

Denise, this site has one of the last few episodes. It's a really good one too! Someone else on this thread or one of my other Moonlight threads was able to catch up by watching all episodes online so I know they are out there.
