This is the kind of story that just tears your heart out. Heroine and hero both with miserable pasts and secrets which they are too leary to share with their newfound love interest. Molly is protective of Seth and wants to help him overcome his past eventhough she has no idea what that entails. Seth knows that Molly is hiding from someone who is close to finding her again and is doing all he can to protect her. Of course, it isn't until danger appears that the walls come down for both of them and love prevails.

A real tear-jerker which had me tearing up and even flat-out crying at one point. This was fun to explain at work.

A beautiful woman in need of a protector. On a wintry night on the Chicago streets, Molly Delavan unexpectedly went into labor and was resuced by a mysterious Good Samaritan who vanished before she could thank him. On the run from her greedy ex-fiance, Molly wanted to start living her own life, on her own terms. But she owed her rescuer, Setih McCable, a debt of gratitude. One that she was determined to repay.

A dark stranger in need of redemption, Seth walked the city alone at night, a reporter who jealously guarded his privacy. He'd seen enough of what love could do and wanted no part of it ever again. But Molly just might change all that. Vulnerable and in danger, the lovely young mother needed help, and Seth found himself drawn to her, despite his determination to avoid her. Molly brought sunlight into his darkness-but could a man sho had lost everything hope to reclaim his heart?
