Maxine is married to Grant, the only known Lightbringer and they have adopted Byron. Everything is perfect until a gift from her mother causes Maxine and the "boys" to painfully and involuntarily part ways. And the Reaper Kings are once again free.
This a real page-turner and hard to put down once I started reading.
Maxine's grandfather, Jack, is back and we get a whole lot of new information on his background. Also some tidbits about who and what Maxine's father is. And if that isn't enough, the demons are loose as the walls begin to crumble. I can't tell anymore without a spoiler but if you are a fan of the Hunter Kiss series, this is a great addition.
