This book really captures how hard motherhood is. No matter your choices, to work or to stay home, to breastfeed or not, a million decisions, they all add up to motherhood being a tough job.

This book is a story of two women: one who has lived in her house all her life, first with her parents and brothers, then with her husband and their children, and the other who just bought the house next door and is just about to have their first child. One is a stay at home mom, the other can't wait to get back to work, then can't wait to get home at night. They have jealousies and feelings of superiority over each other, each thinking SHE is the one making the "right" decisions. In reality, each is doing what is best for them. How they come to this conclusion, how we all do, is the story of Life.

The ending of this book is a shocker. And also a reminder, that at the end of the day, what matters most is that you love yourself, your family, and other people, just for being who they are.

4.5 stars out of 5!

A warning: this is not "mommie lit," this is not light reading. Fans of chick lit and romance will not like this book. It's dark and deep, not light-hearted and funny. But to me, this book is wonderful. I highly recommend it!
