An historical novel set in small town PA during 1927-1937. Like John O'Hara who was raised in Pottsville, PA, the author mirrors the life and events of the people in this small coal mining town. "Sheltered between the mountains, the community of 25,000 was a feudalistic society dominated by a number of third generation families with a web of inter-marriage, There was a place for everyone, and everyone knew his place".
