This was an excellent book, especially considering the content matter, which most people might not be interested in. I really enjoyed all the different angles for all the stories throughout. The book was great historical fiction, extremely enjoyable. My favorite chapter was the very first one because I loved the descriptions the author made of Lincoln. I am very eager to read this author's other work!

Thirteen little stories (not necessarily true, but at least, in part, based on true historical facts and occurances). Nice to read, some stories are short some are not so short. The whole book can be read in a weekend and is certain to entertain you while also testing your knowledge to history during the civil war. I think you'll like reading this book.
