I had read one of the later books and not liked the series, but then I read these first three, and it really changed my mind. It is hard to believe that the police inspector is so dumb , but once you get over that and just concentrate on Mrs. Jeffries and solving the mysteries these are really fun. They are definitely good for when you are just exhausted and want to read a mystery that is not so easy to figure out and has characters that help each other. And yes, the inspector is more stupid that could be possible, but just ignor that.
Love this book. Great nighttime reading.
