Over the weekend, I offered a deal on some of my books. Rather than confuse anyone, I put any book that wasn't part of the deal on hold. This morning, I deleted the deal books that hadn't been requested and put the rest of the books back on my shelf. Then, I went to mail the books from the deal. When I got back home, I marked the books mailed and did a quick check to see if I had any requests coming in. 7! I had 7 requests. At first, I thought it had to be from a single person, but as the requests started to actually arrive, I found that it was 5 different people. One person requested 3 books. I had to reject one of the requests because of the conditions, but the other 6 are waiting to go. I haven't had that many requests come in that quickly since I started. And then, it was because of wishlisted books. None of these were on wishlists. The only thing that I can think of is that people actually check the books that come in every day. When I re-posted all of those books, they would have shown up as just posted. The requestor's saw them and requested them. Since I had the only copy of each of those books, the requests came to me. It's almost enough for me to make a second trip to the post office today. Almost. |

Wow, good for you! When I returned from vac a few months ago, book that had been sitting on my bookshelf for ages suddenly flew off the shelf. All I did was take them off vac hold. I think I sent out about 7 in a week. Not all requested on one day though. |
