This is a cozy featuring Fonnie Beachum, a retired nurse recovering from a stroke.
She's in a nursing home, not because she wants to be there but she needs to be there.
For the physical therapy and the necessary help with daily living. She's determined to get out of her wheelchair and back on her feet.
When her roommate dies unexpectedly and mysterious notes start showing up on the community bulletin board, Fonnie feels there is a malicious hand at work in her nursing home. The problem is getting anyone to believe her before the killer strikes again.
This one kept me guessing until the killer was revealed. That's unusual for me. I can usually pin down the "bad" guy with no problem. I've been reading mysteries a looong time.

The nursing home is quiet, peaceful and threatening. New resident Fonnie Beachum find much to alarm her and soon the threats become real. Interesting setting and good characters.
I liked this book a lot. It keeps you wondering who the "evil patient" is and is fast paced. I liked the senior sleuth as well. I plan to order the next one in the series right now actually !
A good mystery. I enjoyed reading it.
