On reading the description and reviews, this sounded right up my alley (no pun.) But even though I love golden age mysteries I found this one sort of ponderous and way too wordy. I think it would have benefited immensely from a map of the house and grounds, and the maze itself (although the copy I read had a map of a maze on the cover, it obviously wasn't a true version of the maze described therein. It was okay, but not gripping, and makes me leery of reading more of the author's works.
