Does anyone else find this ending unique and exciting or am I just not very well read? I remember the point where Poirot is deducing how all the parties on the train are actually suspects and I thought, "This is crazy, there's no way unless they all..." I thought it was really neat that they all conspired and I LOVED that they get away with it.

It has been years since I read this book but it still sits on my shelf as a classic. My grandmother gave me her Agatha Christie novels from her childhood when I was 12. Murder on the Orient Express was the first I ever read and it hooked me! It was truely my first mystery novel. Looking back now, it is still one of my favorites. I loved the ending. As I was reading it I was frustrated that I couldn't figure out who the killer was. Once the ending was revealed I was amazed! Since reading that book 10 years ago, I have seen many that tried to reuse that same ending from the Orient Express but none pull it off like Christie and I keep comparing it to her books. You are not alone, it was indeed quite the great surprise!
