If you have read other books by Sue Ann Jaffarian, and loved her, you might think this was a different author. There is nothing wrong with this book, it was just kinda bland. The whole vampire thing was bland. Some vampire books are trendy or cutesy, or historical or graphic with violence or sex, or full of paranormal issues, and this book was none of those. The main character and the vampires are very likable characters. There is a sequel and I do plan to read the next book to see how the characters lives are proceeding.

Loved this book. It focuses more on the mystery than vampires. Jaffarian skillfully weaves in her vampire world while not detracting from the main mystery. I reall like the main characters, especially Doug and Dodie. It was nice to see a good elder couple in a cozy. Will definately read the next one.
