This book is from a series of "cozy" mysteries surrounding a horse owner. It might help to be a horse person. It was a quick read and cute, but there are better women mystery writers.

Robin Vaughan's husband, a reknown food critic, heads off to Mexico to do some reviews. Robin decides to go along and manages to get a job doing a free-lance article for a horse magazine. Along the way she meets a famed dressage master who is very uncooperative, and his groom who is later murdered right in front of Robin's hotel room. She goes searching for a ranch she has heard of called Milagro, which ends up being run by someone whe knew in her past. More murders occur. Why? Who is behind it all? And why do all of the horses from Milagro have the same markings?
