Includes the novel "Handcarved Coffins," a nonfiction novel about an American prairie town reeling from the onslaught of a killer...thirteen short stories...a gossip section with Marily Monroe...and a revealing self-interview in which Capote passes along bits of wisdom he has gleaned from an unorthodox life and a merciless self-examination of it.

This is a beautifully written book by Capote. There are several short stories ranging from chameleons listening to a woman play a piano to a moving story of how Capote wanted to be a girl from an early age. I enjoyed this book a lot more than , "In Cold Blood."
'Wooden Coffins' is a good read and is the only story that is thought to be fictional. What happens when a man is above the law and thinks he is God?. .the story is thought-provoking.
Love this book!!
