Last night a book I wanted showed up on my reminder list, so I ordered it. I checked the sender's bookshelf and found three others I wanted, so ordered them, too. This afternoon, the three I ordered a few minutes later say they'll be sent by 7/11, and the first one is now 'waiting for member' from a different sender. There was never any messqage that the first sender couldn't send the book or that it didn't meet my RC, so I'm confused about what happened. Can anyone figure this out? Thanks. Later: I checked my transaction archive, and the first book request had been cancelled without comment, so I'm guessing the request was then passed along to the next person in the FIFO line who had a copy. I don't mind, as long as I get the book - I just was puzzled.

The first book was probably cancelled by the sender for some reason, and thus rolled to the next member offering that title...and is now awaiting acceptance by the new sender.  Your original sender apparently did accept the subsequent book requests.

Sometimes senders do a final book check just before accepting a request, and find a formerly overlooked flaw that makes the book unpostable...or they've posted a book that a family member refuses to part with :-)

I've had to cancel books after accepting.  Gone over and pulled it down just to see that it wasn't quite postable.  I wrap in daylight but post in the evening.

I like the 'family member refused to part with it' theory best. ;-} I expect we've all been to that yard sale: "Oh wait - that wan't supposed to be out here!"

Look at the other two books that were accepted.  Are they, in fact, being sent by the original book-owner?  What may have happened is that the original book was cancelled and the other two requests went into the FIFO line for other senders.
