A friend just told me about this :

It's little boxes with books to swap in them. There is a world map to locate one near you. It's like PBS but local.

I just posted a lot of wishlisted books that we have used in our Homeschool for the past few years.  I need to save on postage, so they are on the Wishlist multiple thread.  Check them out!  You may find something you need. Here is the link.  I'm on page 3 http://www.paperbackswap.com/JANUARY-2013-Wishlist-Multiples/topic/274695/?ls=50#p5978710   Thanks for looking:)  Carrie

I told a carpenter friend about the little free libraries a while back, and they were inspired to build their own.  Their house is next to an elementary school, so it has two shelves: one for grown-up books, and one for kid books. :)

I'm not sure if the link will work, but here's a picture of it in his business' Facebook album.
