When I read my first NEXT book I had no idea it was by Harlequin and I liked it.Since then I have picked up a few at Goodwill and also ordered some here.My question is this:

Do you consider NEXT books chick lit or romance? The ones I have read I would lable as "hen lit".I think alot of people might be missing out on some really good books because of the "halequin stigma."I went through a huge harlequin phase years ago and I dont feel that NEXT books are anything like what I read back then.

I am 37 and it's hard to read chick lit book after chick lit book about 20 somethings. Not that I don't enjoy them but sometimes I like a change. I just won a box of 20 NEW next books off eBay for a total of $15.99 shipped and I can't wait to get my hands on them:)

And last of all-do these books come from a harlequin book club???

I really enjoy these titles..don't think I've read a bad one yet though some I've liked more than others. I call these 'hen lit' also as most haven't focused on the romance enough for me to consider strictly 'romance'..I'm beyond bummed that harlequin isn't still doing these.
