Hello, my NFL friends! Hope everyone is doing well. Here's to an exciting NFL season!  Looking forward to seeing your Pats play Thursday night, Joy.

Cyn, I see Bears dropped Cruz. Feel bad for him - but some injuries are impossible to come back from.  At least he got a superbowl ring. Many players go through an entire career and never get that chance to play in one, let alone win.

Thursday, Sept. 7

  • Kansas City @ New England - NE

Sunday, Sept 10

  • New York Jets @ Buffalo - BUFF
  • Philadelphia @ Washington - PHIL
  • Oakland @ Tennessee - TEN
  • Tampa Bay @ Miami - TB
  • Jacksonville @ Houston
  • Arizona @ Detroit - ARIZ
  • Atlanta @ Chicago - ATL
  • Baltimore @ Cincinnati - CIN
  • Pittsburgh @ Cleveland - PITT
  • Indianapolis @ Los Angeles Rams - RAMS
  • Seattle @ Green Bay - GB
  • Carolina @ San Francisco - SF
  • New York Giants @ Dallas - NYG (I hope)

Monday Sept. 11    {16 years ago...}

  • New Orleans @ Minnesota - NO
  • Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver - Denver

These picks are HARD. I have no idea for most of them and don't even know who some of the QBs are.

Think I heard the Miami game is cancelled due to hurricane??

Bettyjean I'm bummed about Cruz. Would've liked to have seen more salsas! Bears don't know who to keep or let go half the time.

Oh, no, Cyn ~ they dropped Cruz??  Send him to New England ~ Belichick and Brady will get him straight!  wink

Yes, I'm excited for the game to start tonight.  I don't know if they planned it this way or not, but the Red Sox don't play tonight so I won't have to do any channel swapping.  I have to remember I'm picking football teams and not baseball teams!  Betty, I agree the first week picks are so hard.

Sorry Joy!  Sometimes those clunker games just happen.

Wow Joy I wasn't expecting that outcome of the game. We actually fell asleep at halftime and my dvr stopped recording at the scheduled end time of the game. I actually woke up in the middle of the nite and checked the score on my phone. Had to see how many pts Kelce got me for my fantasy league. Guess I'm slightly addicted to football?!

Well, alll I can say is just:  phooey.  I thought Brady had that "deer caught in the headlight" look.  Like he just couldn't believe what he was seeing.  Ah, well - there is always next Sunday.  Hope the Bears and Giants do a much better job for you guys!

Well guess all our home teams lost ð. Not a good start. I did go to the Bears home opener yesterday and it was awesome! Haven't been in years. Parking & getting in was a hassle but definitely worth the experience! I was shocked at how many falcon fans were there.

Guess we all got skunked, but I have to be realistic, my Giants looked the absolute worst. I'm positive Patriots will bounce back like they always do & Bears looked pretty good against a SB team - they almost won (actually thought they'd pull it out at the end) but Giants were unwatchable.  I shut the game off or I'd have never gone to sleep because of being so aggravated.  Glad to see you had a nice time at the game, Cyn. I haven't been to a Giant game in a few years and we keep meaning to go back but the tickets are astronomical... even for nose bleed seats.

I'm doing fantasy too and thought I was soooooo lucky to get 1st pick. I was torn between Leveon Bell, Antonio Brown or David Johson. Well guess who I picked... yep, I picked Johnson who got hurt in game 1 and will be out for months.  What's worse is I tried to drop him today but found out the rules on my fantasy team doesn't allow you to drop certain high picks. So I'm stuck with him now. Dang it!

Bettyjean sorry ur stuck with Johnson. I had bell last year I believe he was good. I missed first place by 6 pts. Argh! Kelce & sanders didn't do too well for me. And yes it was awesome bein at the bears game!
