This is where we post things we would like, except money request or books by name. Please remember that we do not offer money for items we wish for because PBS frowns upon that. It also lessens the spirit of this thread and the forum.

Note: If I write to you about something you have requested, it is only to inform you that the request is not what this thread is about. If you wish to leave your request in this thread, that is up to you.

First: Remember: this is the place to wish. We all have wishes. If you feel someone has asked for something too large, expensive or extravagant, just ignore. Please be kind. Don't make someone feel badly. None of us know someone else's circumstances, unless we ask...........................For those of us asking, let's remember this is NOT a place to stock pantries, get all our presents for others, etc. It's a place for members to wish for items for themselves and immediate family. Also, PBS rules do not allow one to ask for money, even for charities, here. You may ask for other items, such as stamps and boxtops, etc.

Here, you list a few things you like/collect/can use. Obviously, we all like certain things like credits, wish-list books, etc. This is NOTfor that kind of thing. This is for things others might have around the house that you can use (for instance if you collect postcards, bookmarks, Coke codes, or if there's a candy you love you can't find in your area, etc). ** Please remember that books, by title or genre, should not be requested in this forum(I Wish thread). There may be other places for that. If someone sends you a book, please receive it and thank the member sending it.

Please limit your list to about 10 items (Remember, you can edit your list), and if someone PMs you for your address, please acknowledge and thank them when you receive whatever they send you. There is a separate thank you thread so we can keep this one clean and easy to read. It can get jumbled and hard to read with extra clutter so if we can do our best to keep it to our requests and the rare bump, that would be awesome :) It's important to thank everyone who send something either by PM and or the thank you thread so that we know the item arrived. Members do not want to send things, continously, to others who do not let them know the items have arrived.

It's always good to check the RAOK thread before you post your wishes -someone may already have what you are looking for. (For those of you looking for them, coupons are offered on the RAOK on a regular basis.) There is now a separate coupon thread within the RAOK forum, if you wish to trade there.

In reading all the forums, I have seen people discuss the bookmates/openpage covers.  I would love a tradesize since I have been accumulating a lot of tradesize books since joining pbs.  I know it's a longshot, but you never know.

My son is actively collecting stamps, they can be used or unused, and national or international...he just gets a kick out of them.  If they are used, it is better to keep the postmark, for identifying, thanks.

He is also collecting game boy games (esp Advance & Color cartridges).  He also trades them with some children who have handicaps, so they will find a good home.

And he is learning to play the guitar that he bought with money he earned.  He has a chord chart...  He could use some other teaching tools and perhaps some songbooks.  And he's started collecting guitar picks.

If anyone has Disney Movie Rewards codes they haven't redeemed, I would love them.  They come in almost every Disney movie DVD, as a slip of paper on the left side with a code on it.  Pretty much if you have bought a Disney DVD in the last 2 years and haven't entered the code to your account, I can use it.  (I'm trying to earn enough points to get a reward for Christmas presents and am almost there!)

Also looking for movie theater ticket stubs from any Disney movie in the last 6 months.

Long shot wishes:

Fake plastic cookie. I want to do a silly gag gift for a friend and that would involve a fake cookie. You know, like the fake plastic cookies a little kid would use to play make believe in their play kitchen. I've seen sets of whole kid kitchen items that have cookies but I'd rather not get a whole set just for one plastic cookie.

I have wishes for costume pieces. I know they're a long shot but I figured I might as well ask.

- Motorcycle helmet. Not a bike regular helmet that only covers the top of your head but one that also comes around to protect your chin/jaw, if you know what I mean.
- Gas mask. The kind that sticks out from your face like a Halloween mask with a huge nozzle and two goggles for the eyes (like this:http://disparue.org/gallery/7/doctorwho/1/109/images/doctorwho109_1919.jpg). If not exactly that, I'd take something close to it.
- Black cloak and hood. Nothing special for this one, just your typical black cloak, either with a hood attached or as a separate entity.

 Like I said, I know they're long shot but I figured I should just put it out there in the world :)

Our childrens school is in desperate need of box tops, they depend on these to get some money for field trips and other things they need, the state of Texas has cut funding to our childrens school drastically. They have had to let teachers go because of it and if they don't find ways to get money they need, the children won't be able to do the usual field trips and get the needed supplies they need. Its turning out to be a rough year for their school. They've been doing fundraising like crazy, but not everyone can afford to buy all the time. So any donation of box tops is extremely welcomed!

Other wishes because I know our family personally is going to have a rough Christmas, being the fact myself and my husband are both on disablity..small gifts for the kids are welcomed if you have something extra around the house that relates to this we don't mind used items.

My 8yr son loves anything Transformers themed..he likes the action figures...but hey that isn't in everyone's budget.
