hi,

i have 4 Sherlock Holmes Audio Book audio cassettes for just 2 credits (Instead of 8 Credits).  :)  Most are 1947 Radio Broadcasts starring Nigel Bruce and Tom Conway

  • More New Sherlock Holmes Volume 11: The Island of Death and The Remarkable Affair of the Pointless Robbery

Book Description:

Cassette introduction and closing comments by "Golden Age" radio performer Elliott Reid.

"The Island of Death" (Originally broadcast on April 28, 1947)
A group of singular characters has been invited to a deserted island deep in the Scottish Lake District. A circus fat lady, a group of midgets, and a contortionist known as the "Human Skeleton" ask Holmes and Watson to accompany them on their journey. What is on the mind of the diabolical scientist who has gathered them all together? Can Holmes prevent a tragedy from transpiring?

The Remarkable Affair of the Pointless Robbery (Originally broadcast on May 5, 1947)
Reverend Kenmore asks Sherlock Holmes to investigate a very unusual crime . . . the rectory has been ransacked, yet nothing was taken. Shortly thereafter the local chemist is murdered and his death is linked to the burglary at the rectory. Some sinister force is behind this. Can Moriarty be behind these evil doings?
  • More New Sherlock Holmes Volume 10: The Adventure of the Carpathian Horror and The Lion's Mane

Book Description:

Cassette introduction and closing comments by "Golden Age" radio performer Elliott Reid.

The Adventure of the Carpathian Horror (Originally broadcast April 14, 1947)
A letter from a prosaic law firm sends Holmes and Watson far away to an ancient castle deep in the Carpathian mountains. Why is Count Romany going mad? Are the legends of the vampires in the family's past correct? Can Holmes solve this case before the terrifying nightmares of Count Romany come true?

The Lion's Mane (Originally broadcast April 21, 1947)
While visiting the seacoast, Holmes and Watson are witnesses to a bizarre death. A man walking by the beach collapses and dies. With his final breath he mutters the words "the lion's mane". Is this a clue to his death or is there something much more sinister at play? A fine adaptation of the original Sir Arthur Conan Doyle story.
  • More New Sherlock Holmes Volume 9: The Strange Case of Professor Presbury (The Creeping Man) and The Adventure of the Scarlet Worm

Book Description:

Introductory comments and performances included in this series are "Golden Age of Radio" performer Elliott Reid.

The clues: a small engraved wooden box, some strange letters, and a scream in the night! Can Holmes solve the mystery before tragedy occurs?
