i read this book as a teenager. it was a harlequin from the 90's. the book starts off in a prolouge. the heroine was a child and witnessed her parents murder. after that she became mute. she meets the hero at a party. the next thing i remember, she is staying with him for protection. he is a writer and she helps him by typing his manuscript. she was also a classical piano player. that is all i can remember. i know i am not giving you much to go on, but i have seen other vauge discriptions of books and this room finds them. beckyt |

Here is the book description for River's End:
Olivia's parents were among Hollywood's golden couples--until the night a monster came and took her mother away forever. A monster with the face of her father. Sheltered from the truth, an older Olivia only dimly recalls her night of terror--but her recurring nightmares make her realize she must piece together the real story.
