Can I post a book that has the previous owner's name written inside. I have books that have no writing, highlighting, good spines, etc., but the owner wroe their name in it. Is that postable? Thanks. |

Yes, it's postable as long as it's not on text. |

You can usually find these answers in the Help Center --> Browse Help Docs. You can search by a keyword. What your looking for is Here. No writing or highlighting or underlining on text pages

Thank you, Cindy, I did search the help but missed those words. I'm excited because now I have a couple of more books to post! |

Yeah the HC can be a little tricky. You have to know the right search words to get the results you want sometimes. |

My mother sends me copies for me and all my kids for our "family library". That's 4 copies a piece. I don't have a family library and I can't cure her of this habit... and it's expensive for the postage and the books. Each book always has an inscription on the inside front cover. Sometimes she puts a note somewhere in the book making them totally unpostable. And usually they are wishlisted. So frustrating all the way around. The kids are all over 21 and don't want these books - mostly religious and political- so most of them remain unread and brand new. I've taken to just listing them in my posts' signature line. I've been successful trading them that way most of the time since I list the problems along with the books. Try doing that. It gets noticed as long as you participate on the forums. Ruth ETA - this signature line on this post is messy because I don't know how to get rid of the picture along with the link. Last Edited on: 12/7/10 12:41 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
