I'm not sure whether this is postable. I received a book a while ago. As it turns out, the Sender (totally unknown to me,) was acknowledged in the book by the author for working on the book. The Sender highlighted and underlined her name in the acknowledgements and signed her signature in the book covering the text of the acknowledgement, where her name appears. Kind of like giving a signed copy (which I didn't know was going to happen & didn't ask for.) I think PBS has a rule that a name in the front few pages are okay, and as long as the writing isn't on the text, it's okay. But, the acknowledgement is still in the front portion of the book - that no one reads - unless your own name is in there. The rest of the book is in absolutely mint, Like New condition. I want to post it as the book didn't turn out to be what I wanted. But, I don't want to be dinged for sending out an unpostable book. Oh, why couldn't she have signed in the margin? |

If it were me... I would post it... and then PM the description to make sure they still wanted it. I would give myself the max time to mail in order to get their response. I'll bet 99% will want it, but you want to have a confirmation PM for that 1% : ) |

signed her signature in the book covering the text of the acknowledgement - this I don't think would be a problem, clearly within the guidelines highlighted and underlined her name in the acknowledgements - this might risk a RWAP if you don't warn the sender its there. Even though its highlighting and underlining where no one would care, the trigger reaction to those things is unpostable. |

Thanks, I'll send a PM the description, asking the potential Requestor if they want the book. |
