It is most unfortunate that the general public has not gotten to view this movie with it's complete content, & even more unfortunate that Gance was never to film his complete saga of Napoleon. I completely conside with his disappointment with MCA's condensed version, which caused several scenes to seem nonsensical & would not have been had the film been left in its entirety.
Although it is interesting to read the contents of the scenes left out, there is still a large gap that can never be filled when you take into consideration that the movie had originally been thirty-seven (?) reels of film condensed into a mere four hours only.
