It was really not my kind of mystery. It was mystery mixed with psychological suspense. I never really bonded with the main characters. Also, it took them the whole book to figure out the killer when I figured it out after the first chapter. I usually read a series from the beginning. Starting at #13 might have been a problem. These books are hard to find so probably won't continue reading them.
