I was looking through a Washington DC visitors website since I will be going there on a short vacation from thursday - sunday.  I saw they were having the National Book Festival on saturday and bringing in 70 authors for book signings.  I looked at the list and Philippa Gregory and Geraldine Brooks are going to be there!  I am so excited!   Man, did I pick a good time to go to DC or what?!

My husband was THRILLED that part of our vacation will now involve books.  And to think he actually believed he would be dragging me away from my precious books for 4 days.  Joke is on him anyway.  I already have a whole pile set aside to pack to read on the way down and back :) 

LOL! Our poor husbands are so deluded - There is NO getting away from the books. ;-)

Give us a list of which books you are taking along for the trip! I don't know why, but I really want to know, lol. You also have to report back and tell us which authors you saw, which signed books for you, and which you spoke to. And, you have to give us a list of which books you bought there. Really, you should plan on writing a ten page report that covers your time spent at the National Book Festival. We're attending vicariously through you! :-D

How wonderful for you.  Have a great time. I was in the DC area two years ago helping open a new store and didn't get a chance to break away and see a thing.
