I got this book for my preschooler because he's suddenly interested in Native Americans and I wanted a book that had engaging pictures and wasn't overly simplistic. This book would be great for an older child, too, but my almost-5-year-old still enjoys the engaging images showing Native American life in the many regions throughout North America. It includes sections on food and agriculture, hunting, housing, clothing, children, games, religion, etc. Great book for kids who want to know more about Native Americans and aren't satisfied with generic stereotypes.
