Good details about Navajo life and a different story about a Native man who doesn't jump at the possibility of marrying outside his race. The herione is respectful of the culture - nicely done.

I love this author and wasn't disappointed in this book, just itching for stronger characters and wished she had picked up a few good opportunities for some good dramatics.

Towards the end, there were a few page turners but still book left me slightly feeling like there were several great oppotunities for some great drama (ex. there was almost no emotion when she broke up with her fiance which was proably a page or two - and she also professed her love only after spending like 1 day with the male lead character??

Minor though they were I will continue to read Elizabeth Lane. Enjoy :)

This was such a touching love story. Miranda Howell, the major's daughter, came to stay with her father before she married a proper gentleman when Ahkeah, who knew his duty to his Navajo people, daughter and his wife's memory, suddenly comes into Miranda's life.
