This series, now that I've read two of them, really doesn't do much for me. I read the second book hoping it'd get better. Probably the trouble is: I don't actually like the main character. I really dislike the famous movie star who's hired her on as a part-time knitting instructor and then pays her a piddling amount per month. Four hundred pounds? Come on. That's not really the main point. It's like reading someone's blog, or listening to your girlfriend talk about herself all the time. And nearly every page is herself doing an inward eye roll or muttering/think "Oh, Christ." when one of her two young fatherless boys actually has a bad dream in the middle of the night.Sorry. It really can't just be all about you.

Great followup to Beach Street Knitting Society. Her characters are well drawn and the dialogue is so fresh. I love this book and this author!

1st book was better, however, book 2 is a good read also.

Entertaining read. Loved the "Britishness" of the story. It added an exciting dimension to the storyline. I recommend for Anglophiles and for crafting enthusiasts alike.

This is a great book. I loved the first one now I equally love this one. Hopefully she'll write a 3rd one. This is the continuing story of Jo and her two sons, Jack and Archie. More surprises in store for her and her friends. She has finally learned to stand up for herself. Sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, this is a must read for everybody.

Interesting continuation to first book. Will there be another one?
