With all this negative credit talk I noticed on the forums it got me thinking. . . After reading that just by being at the same address of a current or former PBS member could cause you to get your already earned free credits taken away I was wondering. Hypothetically, if I moved into my parents house or a friends house (both referred to PBS by me) after me living in my own house and signing up for PBS while in my own house would moving into a house of a PBS member cause them to take away credits I earned or that they earned? Thanks! :o)

Good question. I'd think that if it's automated then probably yes, you'd lose 2 credits. If you were to contact the admins and explain the situation, they'd probably understand and let you keep your credits. |

Possibly that could happen. Since it's really an automated system that checks. It does state that you are only allowed to get credits for 1 household. |

I doubt any of us here (members) can answer this. If you really need to know I suggest you use the contact us link below and use feedback. If you do that and get an answer share it with us, please. |

cause you to get your already earned free credits taken away Just wanted to point out that the free credits aren't earned Usually the credits are taken away as soon as the address is input on a new account. If the system were to see you move to the same address as another member and take the credits away, a simple note to the Team would straighten it out. I would not suggest sending in Feedback about "hypothetical situations", they have enough to do with real situations and site upgrades. Last Edited on: 6/19/10 1:58 PM ET - Total times edited: 2 |

People move all the time to houses that have been occupied by previous people. As the popularity of PBS grows I think there needs to be something worked out in those cases. |

In those cases, folks need to contact PBS. "Contact Us" is in the corner of the bottom of the page. PBS just does not want to encourage folks opening multiple accounts to get the free ones. And I agree with that theory. The folks who move into a place should be the exception, not the standard for the computer system. These "free' credits aren't free. PBS pays for them. Donating credits to PBS helps offset the expense. |
