Oh, what a wonderful writer! I just loved this book! A very unpredictable plot and just terrific characters. There was a hint of Barclay's old star, Zack Walker, in this main character's father (those driving cards, ha!). Really, this was a spectacular mystery, told with Barclay's characteristic flair and sense of humour. I really enjoyed reading it, and it will be a long wait until his next mystery comes out!

A page turner that will keep you guessing until the end and it takes a turn you don't expect at all and then takes another turn you don't expect--keeps you reading until the end!

I thought THE ACCIDENT was terrific. Then I read this one. Barclay crafts a story that will touch anyone's heart, especially a mother's! The problem in writing a review for this one is that to tell anything about it, is to tell too much.

Just get a copy and start reading. I can't imagine that you'll put it down until you've read the last page!

Linwood Barclay's name may not be synonymous with some of the best mystery writers out there, but I gotta tell you, he writes a wickedly good tale. "Never Look Away" is no exception. Good luck putting it down once you start reading it. Twists and turns galore, and all the way to the ending, you just can't foresee how he's going to fit it all together - but he does, and it leaves you breathless. I really enjoy his work, and highly recommend this thriller.

I thought this book was great! I read it in a couple of days, couldn't wait to pick it back up. A plot with many twists and turns, interesting characters and a good story.

What?? I'm stunned by the reviews that this book has gotten. I can't even understand how he gets published. You always think that he has a premise that will work really well, and then you start to read. Characters that are never believable, very average writing, and the way his characters speak is laughable. I guessed the "villian" within the first few pages and it was downhill from there. Who says to a four year child " ...... But you have to know she loves you more than life itself" about his mother? Done with Linwood Barclay.
