I liked this book, he is a better writer than he was a broadcaster/speaker (maybe I'm more used to arrogant SOBs in print).
From the flyleaf: In a book as provocative as he is, Howard Cosell describes his thirty-three years in broadcasting... In his usual style, Cosell spares no one in "I Never Played the Game," not even himself. Abrasive, enlightening, and entertaining, it is a book of scope and conviction that will reach into every American Household -- and you don't have to be a sports fan to love it.
