The 2nd in the Wizards of Nevermore series; the story of Norie and the Sheriff. The book was very good, at least as good as the first one. There's something going on almost all the time, some good action, and a few surprises I didn't see coming. I did, however, have two problems with the book. I have a hard time remembering names, and this book had alot of people in it. I kept having to stop reading trying to remember who the person is in the new scene. And on top of that the author called almost everyone by more than one name. Nickname, first name, last name, or their title.
Also, the last three or so chapters the story seem to fray a little. There was a large group of the 'good' guys together, and they all ended up in completely different places, and somehow I missed how that happened. It also could be my brain is frayed, and I inadvertantly skipped a page.
I still liked the book very much, and will definitly get the next one.

It was a fast paced, enjoyable book. Good continuation to the series.

I liked Norie and Taylor quite a bit. There is so much going on that the focus isn't entirely on them and you never really get to read about them getting together. The steamy scenes are all dream sequenced and don't necessarily fit. But I loved that Norie isn't the "kick butt" type of girl but she has strength. I adore the fact that most of the characters were smart and knew their limitations.

And unlike the back of the book hinted, you don't get the full story of the suicide here. I'm assuming it will be picked up in the future.

I agree with the review that some of the writing jumps a bit. I had to reread a few pages thinking I skipped a page as well. But despite all these overall it was a fun book.

I'm beginning to think Bardsly suffers from odd even syndrome. I adored the first book in the series "Never Again", but "Now or Never" didn't give me what I wanted in a read.

I had the same problem with Broken Heart Oklahoma. "Adored I'm the Vampire That's Why" didn't like Don't Talk Back to Your Vampire.

I think it was because Now or Never didn't stay with one central story. This was a layered story with a lot of different things happening and it didn't feel very well pulled together.

There is however a nice little mystery brewing I want to follow. Here's hoping for a nice third book
