The Avengers have disbanded. Page 1 of this collection reminds (or informs) the reader of what happened and why. Page 2 jumps in with some mysterious folks (fronted by veteran villain Electro) planning to take advantage of the vacuum by having a breakout at âThe Raftâ - maximum-maximum security prison where super-villains are jailed. The plan had an unexpected snag â there were 3 heroes visiting the facility at the time, a 4th being held there, and a few others who headed over to the facility when they realized there was some sort of issue at The Raft.
This collection of comic reprints does not provide earth-shattering revelations or thought-provoking philosophical truths. It DOES, however, entertain without getting boring. There IS still something to be said for that. It also provides some foreshadowing to future events, also a comic staple that is welcomed when done right.
Your life won't change if you take the time to read this. BUT you won't feel like you wasted your time, either.
