On a Box-o-Books screen (where I'm picking books to put in the box, that I want), when I used to click 'More Details' it would unzip the listing and put more info on the book right there on the page.

Now it pulls up some bizarre Javascript popup, and I hate it. Please tell me there's some setting I can use to opt out? On dialup it completely kills my ability to do ANYTHING, plus I used to leave 'more details' unzipped for several books at once so I could compare, and now I can only see one at a time (and it prevents me from looking at anything else while I am) ...

if you hover your mouse over the cover art it will pop up with a short synopsis.  Some books don't have it, but I think most do.

I want all the info that used to be in 'more details,' though -- publication date, pages, etc.

It really disturbs me when a new ambush feature (meaning, no warning that it's coming) makes the site more dependent on high bandwidth and javascript ... of course, I'm on dialup, so it matters to *me*, and I presume not to most others.

Eloise I noticed this last night. I went to the Box O Books because I am really strongly thinking about signing up for it. I am sick of the same books sitting on my shelf! I thought that was odd as well when they kept popping up like that. Sorry I can't be of any help!... (I love your name by the way)

From one dial-up person to another: I also don't care for the new system. I have come across MANY books, too, that say Error on Page when I try to get to the details, so nothing will ever come up. I don't see this as an improvement.
