"Traitors Beware" by Eric Beckemeier is now available  from your favorite online bookstore. "Traitors Beware" is the definitive history of Robert DePugh's Minutemen.

This book takes an in-depth look at Robert DePugh's Minutemen. The Minutemen flourished briefly during the 1960s. They organized to fight what they believed was going to be an internal invasion of the United States by Communists. During the time they existed, the group stockpiled weapons, trained in the tactics of guerrilla warfare, threatened Congressmen, and provoked politicians into calling for laws banning paramilitary groups. The Minutemen were forerunners of more modern militant organizations. The Minutemen flourished only briefly because of their extreme tactics and propensity for violence. A massive FBI crackdown in the late 1960s finally spelt ruin for Robert DePugh's Minutemen.

Written by Eric Beckemeier, "Traitors Beware" is painstakingly researched and includes information about the Minutemen never before printed in book form. Information from official documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act and the complete transcript of an interview with the now elderly Robert DePugh are included. "Traitors Beware" is the most definitive and unbiased history of the Minutemen that has been written since the 1960s.

Eric Beckemeier recently graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He grew up near Norborne, Missouri, a tiny town that figured prominently in the Minutemen's history. Growing up near Norborne, Eric Beckemeier has taken great interest in the Minutemen. This prompted him to write "Traitors Beware" during his senior year at college. He won the prestigious Writing Across the Curriculum Award from the University of Central Missouri for his work on "Traitors Beware." Eric Beckemeier plans to continue writing about extremist groups while furthering his education.
