So Madeline Weckham and Sophia Kinsella are the same person? I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

Are you talking about The Gate Crashers? Or does she have a newer one?!?!  I have it wishlisted and I'm pretty close to being No. 1! I can't wait to read it. She's got an earlier one as well ... Cocktails for Three.

I have a couple of hers that I got after I found out they were the same person but haven't read them yet. I'm interested to see the difference if any in writing styles.

It's actually not a new book. It was written in 2000. It was re-released in 2007. I read Cocktails for Three and I did not like it as much as the books she has written under the name Sophie Kinsella. I don't know why it would make a difference - it's the same person writing them.

I totally agree Kristin,  same author yet her books under Madeline bore me to tears, and I can't get enough of Sophie K's books.

Interesting.  I have the exact opposite opinion -- I love the Madeline Wickham books and have a hard time with the Sophie Kinsella books.  I read Cocktails for Three and just loved it.  I could really identify with several of the characters, and I have a really hard time identifying with the Shopaholic character.  When I learned that MW and SK were the same person, I was really surprised.  I immediately added all of MW books to my wish list.

I'm reading Cocktails for Three right now...by Madeleine Wickham (Sophie Kinsella).  It's surprisingly good.  It's a hard bound copy.  I'll post it when I'm finished.

I'm a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella and have been wondering if I would like the Madeleine Wickham books. They seem like they are much more serious books. Is that right?
